Ring sizing is tricky. Fingers aren't perfectly round and different factors can effect the fit of your rings--even on a day to day basis!
While we recommend getting sized in person with your local jeweler, we've gathered some tips to help you confidently determine your ring size from home.
Download our printable ring sizing guide
Use this printable guide to determine the sizes of your existing rings or to help you choose a size if you're buying a ring for someone else. This guide also contains a paper ring sizer, though keep in mind, this method may not always be precise.
For a more accurate option, purchase our plastic ring sizer. It's inexpensive and reusable so you can size all of your fingers.
How should a ring fit?
A well-sized ring should fit comfortably on your finger. It should slide on easily but have a little resistance when removed.
Fingers are generally smaller in the morning and during colder weather, and larger at the end of the day and during warmer weather. It’s best to size yourself in a neutral state. Try measuring several times to make sure you have an accurate fit.
If you find yourself between sizes after measuring several times, order the larger size.
Factors that influence ring size
Warmer weather, physical activity, diet (salt and alcohol), water retention, plane travel, and lack of sleep are factors that can cause our hands to swell.
If your knuckles are larger than the base of your finger, find the smallest size that will fit over your knuckle. The ring may still be a little loose around your finger, so you might try a ring adjuster to create a tighter fit.
Personal preference
Some people prefer a looser fit, especially to accommodate for natural fluctuations throughout the day or for swelling during warmer weather.
Size up for wider styles
Wider rings fit tighter. Size up 1/4 to 1/2 sizes larger when ordering rings with wide bands. For the most accurate sizing, we recommend getting sized by a jeweler.
Our Sizing
Delza makes rings in U.S. whole and half sizes and we can do customs in quarter sizes as well. Our most popular sizes are 6-8. We offer a wide range of sizes for most of our ring styles. If we don’t have your size for a particular style, please get in touch. We may be able to create a custom order for you!
Certain ring styles, including those with stones, may not be resizable. However, we do take exchanges or returns for non-custom, non-sale pieces. Visit our Shipping & Returns page for more info.
